YouthBuild is an educational service program that provides disadvantaged youth with job training in construction trades. This aims to provide youth with education and employment skills that are necessary to achieve self-sufficiency and post-secondary and trade training opportunities.
Must be a youth between the ages of 14-21, qualifying as low-income and meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Deficient in basic literacy skills
- A school dropout
- Homeless, a runaway, or a foster child
- Pregnant or parenting
- An offender
- Require additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment
