The U.S. Transportation Department has provided final approval of designating U.S. 264 as an interstate between Zebulon and Greenville through southern Nash County.
U.S. Reps. G.K. Butterfield and Walter Jones sent a letter to Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx last week asking that the federal government approve the N.C. Department of Transportation’s request to designate portions of U.S. 264 as a future interstate highway.
WASHINGTON — Two congressmen from North Carolina are praising the bipartisan passage of a bill that would allow patients access to certain medications in an emergency situations.
Hurricane Matthew might have been the death knell for many Eastern North Carolina farmers, according to federal officials touring devastated farms Thursday in Edgecombe County.
